Stealing Fire

Another day, another story. This time, it is a 650 worder by the title of Stealing Fire. I’ve had this idea running around in my head for quite some time now, and believed it to be a 250-500 worder, so I’m pleased at the length, and the way it has come out.

Here’s the obligatory sample:

Fire was a playful thing; an idiot child with a flair for destruction. Watching it dance along the twigs made him sick to the core.

I also have The Hanged Girl totally ready to go – except for the name. I’ll continue to muse on something suitable. However, I’m starting to like the current title, so we’ll see how things pan out.
