Shadows no more

Well, the Australian Shadows award has been decided. Alas, the Shadow Box e-anthology was not the winner. That honour went to Lee’s ‘Father Muerte and the Flesh’ from Aurealis #36. Congratulations to Lee and the other finalists.

It seems Shadow Box was just not destined to pick up an award, what with a Stoker award disqualification, the Tin Ducks, and now Australian Shadows. It’s a good thing, then, that I’m raising the bar with Black Box (Shadow Box2).

As some recompense, Angela was notified that the official SFWA recognition for Shadowed Realms has come through. Here it is, sitting in some fine company (from the SFWA website):
