Fringes of fame (or notoriety)

The Tangent Online review of Shadowed Realms #8 has been published, marking another generally positive (and pleasing!) review for ‘Realms.

This is purely a writer’s ego thing, but it’s not every day you are compared with Stephen King. Jason Fischer, the Tangent reviewer said of my story, Congo Jenga:

For skin-crawling and gory, “Congo Jenga” by Shane Jiraiya Cummings is top stuff. In this vignette, we see a sick pervert on the receiving end of voodoo justice, the victim of a curse that evokes the feel of Thinner by Stephen King.

In another example of brushing with fame, a photo has been posted on the Continuum website of my panel with Neil Gaiman, Robin Hobb, Cameron Rogers, and Jenny Blackford. For convenience, I’ve linked it below.
