This looks interesting – and it’s on Amazon, so it has an air of faux authenticity – but on closer inspection, it would a waste of $19.99. Don’t fooled into thinking a groundbreaking book on Aussie horror has been published. It’s simply part of the worrying trend of major internet sites sharing information – in this case, some enterprising schmo has turned a whole bunch of Wikipedia entries (the category Australian Horror Writers) into a book. This is fair enough, as I’ve been aware of the ability to create e-books from Wikipedia content for some time. However, call me old-fashioned, but what gets me is the attempt to sell free (and not particularly compelling) information for profit.
